Recently finished a great one week long totem carving course, at the Haliburton School of the Arts. This course was with no chainsaws, just sharp chisels. Wayne Hill, the key instructor was great in showing the nuances of carving the Haida style. Stefan, the other instructor, was a master sharpener along being a great carver. Good course, good fun. I can certainly see blending these techniques into my future carvings. Learning is fun! [columns] [span6]
