Fraser Totem Pole

The Fraser Totem pole is a truly family focused design.

The 12 foot –  12″ X  12″ cedar beam came from a century old barn that was removed to construct their custom home. It was covered to focus on the family. Each family member was represented by a animal. I carved them in a ‘Haida’ style.

The carving from the bottom to the top has the following animals: frog, fox, bobcat, raccoon, beaver and eagle.

The totem was initially carved with chainsaws then finished with power tools, sanders and varathene.

The totem was erected inside their new home in the living room.

I have provided some of the pictures during the process.
